Electromechanical connection technology
For railway technology, railway vehicles
and signalling technology.
Electromechanical
Components in the rail sector.
Railway technology places the highest demands on electromechanical connection systems – due to vibrations, weather influences, high mechanical loads, electromagnetic interference fields, and strict safety standards.
Applications range from electric multiple units and freight locomotives to signalling and interlocking systems in rail transport. Reliable connection technology must function under all conditions – from high-speed ICE trains to shunting operations in ports.

Since 1926 – Distribution
electromechanical products
for railway technology.
Püplichhuisen has been supplying electromechanical components from over 33 leading manufacturers for almost 100 years – certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Our high-performance connectors, cable protection systems and labelling solutions meet the stringent requirements for long-term use in traction vehicles, control cars and signalling technology.
Our electromechanical
Components and product groups.
Connector systems and
Cable lugs for railway vehicles.
Reliable connectors, crimp lugs, and tube lugs ensure secure high-voltage and low-voltage connections in PV strings, wind power controls, or battery storage.
They ensure consistent conductivity and a secure connection between cables and components. A range of designs allows for a precise selection to suit different installation conditions.
Cable ties &
Fasteners.
PA66-LSZH cable ties and fasteners are UV-resistant, vibration-proof and offer tensile strengths of up to 111 kg.
They are ideally suited for underfloor installations and cable routing in the engine room. Different shapes and sizes make it easy to adapt to complex cable routing.
Heat shrink tubing &
Insulation sleeves.
Low Smoke Zero Halogen heat shrink tubing and insulation ferrules with flame retardancy UL94 V-0 provide secure protection for cable harnesses, power cables, and data lines.
They are resistant to chemicals and suitable for passenger compartments as well as outdoor areas. Easy processing allows for consistent and clean results.
Heat shrink connector &
Train components.
IP68-protected heat shrink connectors and mouldings are designed for areas where strong environmental and vibration stresses occur.
They ensure long-lasting connections and support reliable plant operation. Their robust design makes them suitable for both new builds and modernisations.
Labelling systems.
Abrasion-resistant, heat- and moisture-resistant marking systems according to railway standards provide clarity in vehicle wiring harnesses, control cabinets, and track systems.
They remain permanently legible and ensure reliable identification throughout the vehicle's entire lifecycle. Various material options permit use in different environments.
Extended areas of application
our connection technology.
- Electric Multiple Units (ICE, Regionalbahn, S-Bahn)
- Freight locomotives & shunting locomotives
- Street and light rail
- Signalling and interlocking technology
- Cable systems along the route
- Passenger information and control systems
Safety & Fire Protection
in railway engineering.
Connection systems in rail transport must withstand extreme mechanical, climatic, and electrical loads. LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) materials minimise smoke development and toxic gases in the event of a fire. Shock and vibration-resistant designs ensure years of use in high-speed trains, regional trains, and trams. Corrosion-protected, sealed components with EMC shielding guarantee maximum operational reliability – even under UV, moisture, and temperature fluctuations.
